Moving house checklist

• Give notice to your landlord or agent
• Post a removalist task and compare offers
• Start decluttering and selling what you won't take
• Book an end of lease clean

• Collect boxes, tape and markers
• Update your address with your bank and employer
• Arrange electricity, gas and internet at the new place
• Book parking or a lift if your building needs it

• Pack room by room and label every box
• Defrost the freezer
• Pack an overnight bag with essentials
• Take photos of the old place for your bond

• Check every room, cupboard and drawer is empty
• Do a walk through with your removalist
• Release payment once everything has arrived
• Leave a review for your removalist
